Numbers are Important
Success rates from In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) vary based on a number of factors. Some of these include the age of the female patient being treated, the specific diagnosis of the patient, and the length of time the couple has been trying to conceive. Outcomes from prior treatments also help to modify the success of current treatments. Our record of healthy births proves to be strong year after year. A baby is much more than just a statistic, yet there is no better way to understand our great achievement than to see the data. A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches and entrance criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic. At Island Reproductive Services, we do not have any criteria for minimum number of eggs to go to egg retrieval and we treat all patients regardless of AMH and FSH values.
